Sheep Exhibitor Application
BARN RULES & MARKET LAMB CONTRACT
1. FEEDING NEEDS TO BE DONE BETWEEN 6:00AM-8:00AM AND BETWEEN 4:00PM-6:00PM. IF YOU HAVE A CONFLICT YOU NEED TO PLAN AHEAD.

2. FEEDING INCLUDES EMPTYING WATER BUCKETS, RINSING THEM OUT AND FILLING THEM BACK UP. DO NOT EMPTY BUCKETS INSIDE THE BARN.

3. TOOLS AND HALTERS NEED TO BE PUT BACK WHERE THEY BELONG.

4. IF THE TRASH IS FULL, EMPTY IT INTO THE DUMPSTER.

5. IF THE FEED CAN IS EMPTY, FILL IT BACK UP.

6. IF YOU OPEN A DRINK, FINISH IT, OR WE WILL STOP BUYING THEM.

7. CHECK OFF WHEN YOU HAVE FED!

8. MESSAGE MR. CHERRY ON REMIND WHEN YOU HAVE FED.

9. REPORT ANY PROBLEMS IMMEDIATELY TO MR. CHERRY.

10. IF YOU BRING OUTSIDE FEED OR TREATS IN, YOU ARE DOING SO AT YOUR OWN RISK. DO NOT GIVE ANYTHING TO ANYONE ELSE’S ANIMALS!

11. STALLS NEED TO BE CLEANED ON TIME.  YOUR STALL SHOULD BE CLEANED ON YOUR DAY TO FEED.

12. YOUR LAMBS NEED TO BE WORKED WITH AND EXERCISED AT LEAST 3-4 TIMES A WEEK.  THIS MEANS WALKING THEM ON THE WALKER AND MAKING THEM SET UP LIKE THEY WOULD IN THE SHOW RING.

13. DO NOT TRY TO FEED YOUR ANIMALS MORE THAN THE OTHERS, IT WILL ACTUALLY MAKE YOUR ANIMALS WORSE.

14. YOU SHOULD MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO ATTEND EVERY SHOW. IF YOU ARE GOING TO MISS, YOU NEED TO CLEAR IT WITH MR. CHERRY SO HE CAN MAKE OTHER PLANS.

15.  MAKE SURE THE CEILING FANS ARE TURNED ON IN THE MORNING AND TURNED OFF AT NIGHT.




What does the $450 cover? What does the program agree to provide and what does the student agree to provide?

The program agrees to provide the following:
1. The use of stalls and barn.
2. All feed and hay for the duration of show season.
3. The use of sheep stands and clippers.
4. The use of the carousel lamb walker.
5. All equipment needed, such as:
a. Foot shears
b. Halters
c. Feed pans
d. Buckets
e. Sprays
f. Medicines
6. Transportation to and from the shows for you and the animals
7. All shavings needed for the duration of show season.
8. All registration fees for the shows. (Students keep any prize money they win at the shows).
9. All veterinarian services needed.

The student will provide:
1. Serve as a counselor for lamb camp.
2. Ensure that animals are fed daily.
3. Clean stalls each week.
4. Make an honest attempt to attend all 10 shows
5. Keep a positive attitude and get along with the other members of the show team.
